The carers we supply stay within your home and assist throughout the day as required, assistance includes personal care, laundry, food preparation, light cleaning duties, shopping and companionship.
Connect Care Carers provide a continuity of home care throughout the day and are able to monitor changes in condition and mood as they occur due to their familiarity with the person in their care.
Our carers work between one and two weeks at a time depending on the placement, we endeavour to get a core group of 3-4 carers who will know the placement well and work within a rota.
Unlike other Care agencies whom may place a carer for 3 months at a time the rota basis we use allows feedback to be obtained. The feedback from both service users and carers on a placement and allows a change in carer to be made and choice in the carers received by the service user to be highlighted.
The rotational basis we use can also stop over familiarisation of a carer and a dependency towards one person. Which can often cause confusion and upset should this individual retire or leave the agency, the feeling of loss can be similar to that of a bereavement. The one to two week rota we use also allows familiarisation of both carers and service users and a continuity of care to be given while retaining professional boundaries.
Connect Care is a small agency, allowing the care packages received to be fully individualised and created to suit the care needs of the service user.
For individuals with higher carer needs we also work alongside other hourly care agencies or can provide two live in carers if required.
Connect Care Ltd. also operate a 24 hour on call telephone line in case of any emergency or need to contact the office outside of office opening times.
Connect Care also can provide respite care, care for a set period of time be this to cover family holidays, hospital discharge or support during rehabilitation from injury or illness.
